A 1EAD 5 Skyraider Plastic KitA 1EAD 5 Skyraider plastic kit from German specialists Revell. One of the most powerful combat aircraft ever was the A 1 Skyraider that was flown for the first time in 1945. By 1956 3180 had been built mainly single seaters. The AD 5 with its wide two seat cockpit longer fuselage and larger tail unit is generally reputed to be the best Skyraider. It was used in Vietnam by the US Navy and USAF for close support and rescue operations. The Wright R 3350 radial engine delivered 2700 hp and a top speed of 518 kmh at an altitude of 5400.
